Gerry with Slough Deaf Club

Gerry and Kay were invited to Slough by the Slough Deaf Social Club and Asian Deaf Group.  Over 150 people attended Gerry’s talk about his round the world adventure with Quest III.

Gerry and Kay felt overwhelmed by the warm and friendly welcome from everyone; the decorations in the hall (especially the handmade craft); the delicious food: the beautiful cake (which even had a wee Gerry on it!) and the lovely hotel that had been booked for them.  They were both completely shocked to be presented with a cheque for £1,000 towards the cost of the Quest III adventure and would like to thank everyone for their generosity.

Gerry and Kay would particularly like to thank David Portsmouth who met them at the airport and took them to Slough, and Reita Bansal for all the hard work she did in organising the trip. Reita kept in close contact with their p.a. in months leading up to the trip to make sure everything ran smoothly.
