MEPs at eventThe event featured a number of guests including 15 MEPs and representatives from various NGOs. Along with others Mark Wheatley addressed attendees and emphasised the issue faced by Deaf people when moving within Europe and the different services (or lack thereof) experienced (such as access to interpreting services, information in sign language, captioning on TV etc). These issues can and often do hinder Deaf people from being able to be truly mobile within Europe.
