Ádám Kósa won his seat in the European Parliament as his party FIDESZ secured 56.37% of the votes nationally in Hungary. Through that percentage of votes, FIDESZ won 14 seats for the European Parliament and Ádám Kósa was 12th in the list.

The Board and Staff of EUD sends their warmest congratulations to Ádám and is looking forward to work with him at Brussels.

We will never forget the date: 7th June 2009 - it is when the first ever Deaf person and Sign Language user was elected to the European Parliament.

Through Ádám - Sign Language will be really visible in the halls of the European Parliament in the next five years!
